About

About this crossing

The Fort Hancock–El Porvenir bridge ties this Juárez Valley community to Fort Hancock, Texas, along the rural highway east of the city. It is one of Chihuahua's smallest, quietest crossings: a two-lane rural bridge serving local, farm and school traffic on both banks of the Rio Grande. The wait is almost always minimal, which makes it a remote fallback when the Juárez bridges wake up saturated and your route passes this way anyway.
